Our story

Every family has a recipe it guards. Ours belonged to Papoo, Kevin's dad - and for years it only came out at family cookouts.

It started when Kevin tried to get Elina to taste his father's secret sauce. One taste was enough. In 2022 we started cooking it in small batches, bottling and labeling every bottle by hand under London Family LLC, and taking it to festivals and markets across Tennessee and Georgia.

The label tells the rest: "This old family recipe is so good that it was hidden from the world for generations. After entering witness protection services, we finally feel safe to release this amazing hot BBQ sauce to the world." Papoo's face is on every bottle, and on the bright yellow tablecloth you'll find at our booth.

People kept coming back to the yellow table for a second bottle (and a third). In May 2025 the Chattanooga Times Free Press came to meet the family behind Papoo's BBQ Sauce, and we made the cover of that month's Chatter barbecue issue: "Sauce and Desist: Try Papoo's BBQ sauce, and you'll never taste another."

This season our daughter is learning to run the booth - so when you buy a bottle, you're supporting the next generation of the family recipe too.
